Higgins Lake – Designated the sixth most beautiful lake in the world.  Great for boating, skiing, fishing, sailing and swimming.  Boat and jet ski rental options available.  Fish for Perch, Lake Trout, Bass, Pike and Bluegill.  Two State Park access sites. 

AuSable River - Famous for its’ world class Fly Fishing for Trout.  Best know for its wonderful canoeing and kayaking. 

Houghton Lake – Michigan’s largest inland lake.  Great for boating and fishing.  Boat and jet ski rental options available.  Fish for Walleye, Pike, Bass and Bluegill.

Lake St. Helen – This is a manmade lake and popular with boaters and anglers.  Fish for largemouth Bass, Crappie, Northern Mike, Walleye and Bluegill.

Muskegon River – Travel for miles in unspoiled wilderness. 

The Cut River – Connects Higgins and Houghton Lakes

Manistee River – Located in Grayling.  Deep, cold and fresh.  Wonderful canoeing river.

Roscommon County has roughly 200 miles of groomed snowmobiling trails winding from one town to the next.  The Tee Pee Motel is located right next to one of the trail entrances.  Plenty of parking for your trailers.

North Higgins Lake State Park – groomed trails range from 1.5 or 6.5 miles through a beautiful pine forest, perfect for the novice.

 

Downhill
